Calf Implants and Augmentation for Trans Men & Nonbinary Individuals

As seen in

Calf augmentation enhances the shape and volume of the calves for a more masculine contour, through the use of medical-grade silicone implants, fat transfer, or a combination of both methods.

At CREO Gender, we offer calf augmentation with both fat transfer and implants, allowing you to customize your procedure depending on your physique and aesthetic goals. We are also one of the few clinics in the UK to offer calf augmentation using custom-made implants, which are specifically designed with your body in mind.

Our senior body contouring surgeon and medical director of CREO Gender, Dr. Omar Tillo is one of the few plastic surgeons specialising in calf augmentation in the UK. With his advanced surgical skills, Dr. Tillo can help you achieve a more muscular, masculine lower body.

Before & After Calf Augmentation

Benefits of Calf Augmentation for Transgender Men & Nonbinary Folks

There are several key benefits of calf augmentation surgery for trans men, non-binary and gender non-conforming patients:

Improve Symmetry in Your Legs

For patients with uneven muscle development, calf implants and fat transfer can help to improve symmetry, giving the legs a stronger, more balanced appearance.

Enjoy Permanent Gender-Affirming Results

Calf augmentation is a permanent procedure that can help you achieve a more contoured, masculine lower body. As a result, this can reduce body dysphoria by creating a physique that matches your gender identity

Create A Masculine Leg Contour

Calf augmentation enhances the shape and volume of the lower legs, creating a more muscular, traditionally masculine appearance.

Other Gender-Affirming Surgeries Offered at the CREO Clinic in London

Chest wall masculinisation surgery

Chest wall masculinisation surgery, often referred to as “top surgery” is a surgical procedure to achieve a flatter contour. This may involve removal of the breast tissue, excess skin and/or fat from the chest, depending on your physique and aesthetic goals.

Abdominal Etching

Abdominal etching is a type of High Definition (HD) liposuction to remove subcutaneous fat close to the muscle to highlight the contours of the muscle. Toning the abdomen and enhancing muscle definition can contribute to a more masculine upper body..

Male Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL)

A masculinising Brazilian Butt Lift, or BBL, involves the removal of fat cells from other parts of the body, such as the abdomen and thighs, using liposuction. This fat is then purified and injected into the buttocks to enhance the shape and volume of the area. For a masculine contour, fat is typically injected into the top, middle and bottom of the buttocks, avoiding the sides for a firmer, square-shaped appearance.

APEX Recovery Protocol

Every procedure our surgeons perform comes with Creo Clinic’s APEX Recovery System – a unique recovery protocol built and refined on years of specialised expertise.

This three-stage system combines pre-surgical optimisation, advanced anaesthetic techniques, and a post-operative strategy designed to eliminate the need for morphine.

These treatments are thoughtfully integrated into every step of your plan, ensuring your recovery is supported, refined, and medically guided. We don’t make any compromises when it comes to care … and you shouldn’t either.

FAQs About Calf Augmentation

How much does calf augmentation cost in London?

The price of calf implant procedures will depend on the procedure chosen, the number of implants required and whether the implants are standard or custom-made.

For fat transfer, prices will depend on the number of liposuction areas required to harvest sufficient fat. Prices for fat transfer to the calves typically start from £7,400.

For bilateral calf implants, prices start from £8,500 for one standard implant in each leg, and £11,900 for two standard implants in each leg.

For custom implants, prices start from £14,200

During the consultation, we will explain the differences between the available options so that you can make an informed choice based on your needs and aesthetic goals.

What is the recovery time following calf augmentation?

Recovery times from calf augmentation will depend on the surgical method used. In general, most patients are able to return to light activity after two weeks.

For more strenuous activity, patients who have undergone fat transfer to the calves will need to wait up to 4-6 weeks, and calf implant patients will need to wait up to 8 weeks.

How long does calf augmentation last?

Calf augmentation is a permanent procedure, meaning the implants and/or transferred fat will remain in the calves indefinitely. However, you will need to follow all of the aftercare advice in order to prevent complications that may affect the longevity of your results.

Can calf augmentation be completed at the same time as other gender affirming surgeries?

Calf augmentation can be combined with several other gender affirming procedures, such as liposuction and fat transfer to other parts of the body.
