Transgender Brazilian Butt Lift in London

As seen in

A Brazilian Butt Lift, or BBL, is a body contouring procedure that can be tailored to transgender, non-binary and gender non-conforming patients that wish to enhance their lower body to better reflect their gender identity.

A BBL consists of two stages, (1) liposuction to harvest sufficient fat from areas of the body such as the abdomen and thighs, and (2) fat transfer, where the harvested fat is purified and injected into the buttocks to achieve the desired shape.

At CREO Gender, Dr. Omar Tillo is our senior body contouring surgeon and buttock contouring expert. Dr. Tillo has pioneered his advanced approach to fat transfer to ensure safer, superior BBL surgeries, and regularly teaches his techniques to fellow surgeons.

Gender-Affirming Benefits of BBLs for Trans and Non-Binary Individuals

Body contouring procedures like BBL surgery can play a central role in your gender-affirming care journey, and can come with an array of benefits:

Body Contouring That Aligns with Your Gender Identity

For many trans and non-binary people, aligning their physical appearance with their gender identity is an important part of their journey. A Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) can be a gender-affirming option that helps shape the body in a way that reflects how you truly see yourself.

Whether you’re seeking a more feminine or masculine shape, BBL surgery can be customized to suit your unique goals.

Reduce Feelings of Gender Dysphoria

Feeling that your body does not reflect your true gender identity can be a source of ongoing gender dysphoria. A BBL can play a meaningful role in reducing that distress by contouring the figure in accordance with your gender identity.

Care from Clinicians Experienced in Gender Diversity

Choosing a surgeon with specialised expertise in gender-affirming buttock contouring can help you achieve the best possible outcome from your BBL. Their skill and understanding of gender-specific aesthetics ensure the results align closely with your identity and goals.

Types of BBLs for Affirming Your Gender Identity

At CREO Gender, buttock contouring is performed by Dr. Tillo, who has advanced skills in sculpting both masculinising and feminising shapes. Using an ultrasound-guided fat transfer technique, Dr. Tillo safely places fat above the gluteal muscle to contour the buttocks in a way that aligns with your gender identity.

Feminising BBL

A feminising BBL aims to enhance the curves of the buttocks to create a traditionally feminine, hourglass silhouette. This is achieved by evenly distributing fat throughout the buttocks to produce a smooth, rounded, O-shaped contour.

Masculinising BBL

A masculinising BBL, or male BBL, is a type of buttock contouring procedure designed to create a more square-shaped appearance. This is typically achieved by strategically adding fat to the upper, middle, and lower areas of the buttocks while avoiding the sides. The result is enhanced posterior fullness with a firmer, more defined, and traditionally masculine aesthetic.

Other Gender-Affirming Surgeries You Can Combine with a BBL

Buttock Implants

Buttock implants can be used in combination with a BBL to create natural-looking results without compromising on the volume that implants can provide. This can further enhance the curves of the buttocks for a feminine, hourglass figure.

Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation can be combined with a feminising BBL to soften the figure and add curves to both the upper and lower body. This helps to create a more pronounced, traditionally feminine hourglass figure.

APEX Recovery Protocol

Every procedure our surgeons perform comes with Creo Clinic’s APEX Recovery System – a unique recovery protocol built and refined on years of specialised expertise.

This three-stage system combines pre-surgical optimisation, advanced anaesthetic techniques, and a post-operative strategy designed to eliminate the need for morphine.

These treatments are thoughtfully integrated into every step of your plan, ensuring your recovery is supported, refined, and medically guided. We don’t make any compromises when it comes to care … and you shouldn’t either.

FAQs About BBLs for Trans & Non-Binary Individuals

How much does a BBL cost?

The price of a BBL at CREO Clinic starts from £7,400. Prices are largely dependent on the number of liposuction areas required to harvest sufficient fat to create your desired buttock shape.

Can you undergo BBL surgery while actively taking hormones?

Yes, you are able to undergo a BBL while taking hormones for the purposes of gender-affirming treatment. However, for patients who are taking oestrogen-containing contraceptives or HRT, you will need to pause treatment 6 weeks prior to surgery to reduce the risk of complications.

Is gender-affirming care covered by the NHS?

Body contouring surgeries like a BBL for the purpose of gender affirming care is not usually covered by the NHS. For this reason, many patients choose to have this procedure through a private healthcare provider.

How do I know what is the best type of BBL for my body shape?

A competent surgeon will be able to assess your body and ascertain the best BBL shape for your body.

For patients seeking to feminise the figure, an A-shaped (more volume at the bottom of the buttocks) or O-shaped buttocks (volume equally distributed across the buttocks) is typically the most desirable. For those seeking a more masculine buttocks, a square-shaped butt is usually the best option to accentuate posterior fullness for a firmer appearance.
