What Is Included In Body Masculinisation Surgery at the CREO Gender?

Body masculinisation covers a wide range of procedures, but the most common treatments include liposuction, fat transfer, and the male BBL:

Liposuction

Liposuction removes targeted fat to sculpt and define areas of the body—helping create a more traditionally ma sculine shape. Common treatment areas include the chest and abdomen, where fat removal can enhance definition and contribute to a firmer, more chiseled appearance.

At CREO Gender, we offer a range of advanced techniques tailored to your needs, including:

  • Power-Assisted Liposuction (PAL)
  • Radiofrequency-Assisted Liposuction (BodyTite)
  • Ultrasound-Assisted Liposuction (VASER)
  • Helium Plasma and RF-Assisted Liposuction (Renuvion)

For those seeking a more masculine silhouette, liposuction offers a gender-affirming path to a flatter chest or V-shaped torso. It can also be combined with fat transfer or other procedures for natural-looking, proportional results—always customized to your goals.

Fat Transfer

Fat transfer uses your own body fat to enhance and define key areas of the physique. Fat is first removed through liposuction – typically from the abdomen, flanks, or thighs – creating a leaner shape in those regions. The purified fat is then injected into areas like the buttocks or shoulders to add volume, firmness, and structure.

This technique not only enhances traditionally masculine contours but also balances the results of liposuction for a cohesive, sculpted look.

For trans men, non-binary, and gender non-conforming individuals, fat transfer can play a key role in gender-affirming care, helping you achieve a body that better reflects your identity and goals.

Masculinising Brazilian Butt Lift

Fat transfer to the buttocks is one of the most common procedures in body masculinization. Unlike the traditional BBL, which enhances roundness and curves, the male BBL is designed to create a firmer, more squared appearance with added volume in the right places.

To achieve this, fat is injected into the top, middle, and lower portions of the buttocks – while deliberately avoiding the sides. This sculpting approach adds projection and firmness without creating a feminine, curvy silhouette.

Dr. Omar Tillo is a leading expert in male BBL procedures. He has developed a refined technique that involves injecting fat only over the gluteal muscle – not into it – to avoid complications. Fat placement is guided in real time using ultrasound imaging, ensuring even distribution and improved safety.

Other Gender Affirming Surgeries in London For A More Masculine Aesthetic

Abdominal Etching

Abdominal etching is a form of high-definition (HD) liposuction that enhances muscle definition by targeting fat around the abdominal muscles. It’s ideal for sculpting a more toned, athletic appearance—especially for those seeking the look of a defined six-pack.

By precisely removing fat close to the muscle, this technique sharpens natural contours and creates a firmer, more traditionally masculine midsection.

Calf Augmentation

Calf augmentation enhances the shape and size of the lower legs to create a more muscular, masculine appearance. This can be achieved through fat transfer, silicone implants, or a combination of both—depending on your goals and anatomy.

At CREO Gender, Dr. Omar Tillo is one of the few UK surgeons who specialises in custom calf implants, offering tailored solutions that match your body and desired outcome. Each procedure is designed to deliver balanced, natural-looking results that strengthen the proportions of your lower body.

FAQs About Body Masculinisation Surgery

How much does body masculinisation surgery cost?

The price of body masculinisation varies between procedures. For liposuction, prices start from £5,700 for one area, and up to £9,900 for five areas.

Prices for fat transfer vary between £7,400 – £12,500 for one area of fat transfer and £8,400 – £13,500 for two areas of fat transfer, depending on the number of liposuction zones required to harvest sufficient fat deposits.

The cost of a BBL starts from £7,400, depending on the amount of liposuction areas needed.

How long does it take to recover from body masculinisation surgery?

After surgery, you will be provided with any required pain relief and compression garments to make your recovery as smooth as possible.

Common side effects from liposuction and fat transfer (e.g. BBL surgery) include bruising, swelling and soreness around the treatment area(s), which should gradually dissipate over the first week. After one week, you should be able to return to light, daily activities, including office work. However, you should avoid more strenuous activity for at least 2-3 weeks after liposuction, or 6 weeks for fat transfer procedures.

How should a patient prepare for body masculinisation surgery?

In the run up to body masculinisation surgery, you will need to make several preparations:
Weight Management – To get the most out of surgery, you should be at your ideal weight before undergoing your chosen body masculinisation procedures.
Hormone Therapy – There is no need to stop gender-affirming hormone treatment (testosterone) before surgery.
Smoking – You will need to stop consuming nicotine products 4 weeks prior to surgery to reduce the risk of complications.
Alcohol Consumption – You should avoid alcohol both before and after surgery to make your recovery as smooth as possible.
Prepare your home – Make your home as comfortable as possible for your recovery, ensuring that you have support in place for any required child and/or pet care.

Can I add other procedures to body masculinisation surgery?

You may choose to include other procedures as part of your body masculinisation transformation. For example, brachioplasty to remove excess skin and fat from the arms, or skin tightening treatments to manage lax skin across the body. Your concerns and the potential treatment options can be discussed during your initial consultation with Dr. Tillo.
